You’ve Made It!

What an amazing start to 2019!
Making a 6 week commitment to increasing your activity levels and cleaning up your diet is no easy feat. Good habits take a long time to form and bad habits take equally long to break. Sure, when you made the decision to purchase the Online Body Transformation Programme it seemed a great idea… it was late November / early December and you had the party season ahead of you, so committing to a health kick in January sounded perfect!! (For some of you this was bought as a gift so you didn’t even get the option!!)
So, January comes along and you’re about ready to straighten up your lifestyle. Christmas was great but you ate (a bit) too much, drank (a lot) too much and didn’t get enough sleep. 2019 was going to be different. The first couple of weeks were tough - it takes time getting used to coming home from work in the dark, getting your gym gear on and exercising in the lounge. It’s also difficult getting to grips with recording EVERYTHING you eat and drink. However motivation levels are high and you’re getting great results.
Then it happens, that weekend in the middle of January when you’re tired from being back at work and exercising more than you would normally. You’re fed up with scanning bar codes into MyFitnessPal and if you get another motivational message from ‘Andy’ you’ll scream. It was at this point you had a decision to make. Give up and fall back into your normal habits, or grit your teeth and push on through those difficult moments. This takes an awful amount of courage and determination but you’ve proved it’s possible. Of course nobody ever gets through 6 weeks without a hitch. There are injuries, illnesses, sick children and work commitments but as we’ve said from the start ‘perfect’ is impossible. ‘Better’ is the goal that we’re striving for.
We have seen some incredible results over the last 6 weeks, some of which I would never have believed as we started putting the programme together around a year ago. The last ‘weigh-in’, ‘re-measuring’ & ‘re-testing’ session takes place tomorrow, so we don’t have the final ‘before’ & ‘after’ stats as yet. However, using the results we have to date, the average weight loss per person is a whopping 10.1lbs! (This is based on participants whose goals included weight loss and who have submitted regular weigh in readings).
Unfortunately, completing the programme was impossible for some this time around. Whatever the reasons were which prevented this, please don’t be put off. Just because the timing of the Programme wasn’t right, you can still achieve your goals. Whether it’s buying a Jamie Oliver cook book, trying a Zumba class or restarting the programme another time, try again as reaching your goals is achievable.
So what next? We mentioned in our message on Wednesday that the most important thing is to look after your health and fitness any way which keeps you motivated. A number of people have asked whether the workouts will still be available after the 6 weeks are up and what they can do next.
